This housing scheme is situated on an very tricky inner city site, overlooked on every boundary, accessed from a very narrow side street or through a residential building. To maximise the space the design proposes to dig down into the lower ground area and create sunken gardens for the lower units. Most of which are duplexes with double height spaces to introduce light into the living areas. The scheme also boasts 100% dual aspect flats which was requested by the local authority.

The overall building mass was created using a daylight /sunlight model which created a buildable envelope. To help increase the quality of the small out door areas as well as the views from the neighbouring buildings the building was covered in greenery.
