The steeply sloping site is in the hills above the historic town of Vence in the South of France. It was chosen for its panoramic views over the coast from Nice to cannes. The design exploits the terraced nature of the site with different levels for the entrance, the villa, the pool and the garden.Architecturally, the villa is a stone box, under a steel box, over a glass box containing a timber box. It comprises an open plan living area, kitchen, study, five beds all with en suite facilities, a pool, a summer kitchen by the pool and a four car garage. Gates were designed by Maxine.
