ACS is an International School in Cobham with an Early Years department, a Lower, Middle and a High School. The school is growing and therefore came to Studio Pringle to help refurbish and relocate parts of their campus. This part of the project moved the lower school to be with the early years in what has now become known as the Lower School Village.
The Lower School Village is a collection of small buildings, domestic in scale and congregating around a series of courtyards which act as playgrounds. At the beginning the condition of the buildings varied, some needed completely refurbishing and some less so. Studio Pringle helped ACS reimagine this part of their campus and make it home to the lower part of the lower school. The scope of work included entirely refurbishing the classroom areas, toilets, anew library, new doors, new joinery for coats, bags, sinks, TVs and storage.
Heywood house is the other half of the Lower school and is currently on site, completion will be in July 2024.
